Kitchenshrine & Dogcomfort at Neufert Box Weimar
Exhibition. 2008.
Exhibition of our Lab Kitchenshrine & Dogcomfort at the Neufert Gallery / Box in Weimar, Germany. The project was a practice-based research project developed in collaboration with documentary film makers. Offsea occupied the entire gallery building, with the exhibition spanning 12 floor levels. Each level was brought under a particular theme, either coined by an immersive environments, by an interactive workshop, the mediation of the overall content, or specific artefacts. The exhibition doubled up as a research platform. Through interactive workshops material was gathered from visitors to input into the overall research project. We curated the exhibition as well as developing and creating all its artefacts, reaching from wallpaper-sized drawings, to films, to architectural models, interactive and hand-on artefacts, to live-size 1 to 1 build extracts as well as immersive environments.
The project was supported by the Neufert Stiftung.
