The Brockley School Life Project
Life Project with students. 2007.
This projects constitutes a Social Engagement and Life Building Project. It was developed in collaboration with and for pupils of Brockley Primary School (now Beecroft Primary School) in London, Lewisham. It engaged Interior Architecture Students to develop spatial ideas for a corridor space within the school. As some pupils need a space away from the classroom on occasion, the students developed a Three-dimensional environment that was non=prescriptive. Breaking away from the preformed structures that comes with school learning environments, the installation enabled pupils to inhabit the three-dimensional objects as they saw fit, catapulting them into an imaginative 'break' space, a moment away from the classroom.
The project was developed in collaboration with:
University of Brighton.
